Rev. Ernest Washington Pugh, Jr, (Papa), 88, of Pensacola, FL entered Heaven on August 6, 2015.

He was married to his bride, Norma on September 3, 2007 in Pace, FL. Papa spent much of his adult life residing in Lithonia, GA, LaGrange, GA and Pensacola, FL. Papa’s real loves were Jesus, Norma (Nonnie) and family. He was a Pastor, husband, father, Papa and Coach.

He was preceded in death by many loved ones including his son, Jimmy Pugh, son-in-law, Charles Benefield and great-grandchildren, Baby Shanie Pugh and Jonathon Hart.

He is survived by his wife, J. Norma Pugh and family, children, Jeanette (George Wilson) Hicks, Linda Benefield, Larry (Sharon) Pugh and Andy (Lorna) Pugh, 11 grandchildren, Debbie Poole, Donna (Doug) Massey, Chuck (Sandra) Benefield, Tammie (Steve) Puckett, Scott (Amy Slocum) Benefield, Candy (Bobby) Patrick, Tine (Chuck) Brodeur, Tira (Andy) Duerksen, Wendi (Dub) Mathis, Shane (Natasha) Pugh and Stephanie Salas, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour in the funeral home.

Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
