Joseph, Jr. was born in West Goshen Township (likely at home on Garfield Avenue). He was the only son by Anna Rebecca (nee Plankinton) Parker, and his Father's namesake.

Joseph's Christening was performed privately by the Priest of The Protestant Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity of West Chester on 29 Mar 1893. Baptism #139.

Joseph was gravely ill and died eleven days later...9 Apr 1893...at home, 203 West La Fayette Street, West Chester, of Tubercular Meningitis. Aged: 3 years, 3 months, 8 days. The attending Physician was Dr. Elwood Patrick, M. D.

Little Joseph was buried Tuesday, 11 Apr 1893.
