Stephanie Alice Stone Love - Hendersonville, TN
The daughter of an American father and a Panamanian-born English mother, Stephanie's life represented a rich blend of interests, cultures, and experiences. Growing up in Arkansas and Texas, as a child she also traveled regularly to Canada to visit family.
The Stone family later relocated to Tennessee, where she graduated from Hendersonville High School. A passionate lover of the performing arts, she then studied theatre at the University of Memphis. A career change brought her back to Nashville, where she worked at First American Bank. In 1976, she met Paul "Mickey" Love, the man who would two years later become her husband.
In 1983, she gave birth to a daughter, who was followed soon thereafter in 1985 by a son. She was an ever-present source of inspiration and love in their childhood, regularly volunteering her time and energy as a 'room-mother' at their school.
In 1994, she and her family moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This experience led her to visit many different countries, including an extended trip to Kenya and Tanzania where she realized a life-long dream of going on Safari.
After her return to the United States, her thespian spirit brought her back to the stage to act in over a dozen plays with the Steeple Players in Hendersonville, including Steel Magnolias and The Curious Savage. In addition to her theatrical performances, Stephanie had a leading role in the 2004 motion picture, Bell Witch Haunting.
She was also a life-long active member of the parish at the St. Joseph of Arimathea Episcopal Church, where she was known for her talents as a cook and caterer of events. She also served the congregation as a lay reader and chalice bearer.
In 2001, she took on a new role as grandmother to her daughter's son.
Stephanie served as a source of love, laughter, and support for her whole family. Through her constant attention to detail on holidays, birthdays, and in everyday life, she was often solely responsible for the creation of happy memories that will forever remain with and inspire her family.
Stephanie was preceeded in death by her parents, Ralph and Joan (Spencer) Stone and her beloved Mickey.
She is survived by her 2 children and their spouses and her grandson; her 2 sisters; and many life-long friends.
