Oldest son of Barney Gibbs Hendon & Fannie Lou Williams. Husband of Floy Lee Stone. Four children: Jerry; Nelda; Shirley & Wayne.

WW II Veteran: Corporal, CO C, 381ST Combat Eng. BN, 15th Army. Saw action in Rhineland and Central Europe.

The world's best dad. He always had a smile on his face and was an outgoing, fun-loving man.

A Texas man enroute to Denver for heart surgery, Eual D. Hendon, 51, died at the Ogallala Community Hospital early Friday morning where he was taken while visiting a daughter in Ogallala. The Wichita Falls (Texas) resident suffered an apparent coronary arrest and had been under treatment for a heart ailment. He was at the home of Mrs. Nelda Purcell when the attack occured.

A retired mechanic, he was born June 22, 1919 at Nocona, Texas.

Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Fannie Criswell of Nocona; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Stansbury of Pueblo, Colorado; two sons, Wayne of Denver, Colorado and Jerry of Houston, Delaware; a sister, Mrs. Lourene Trusler of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Alton of Georgia, and thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon in Wichita Falls. Draucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
