STELLA ABRAMOWITZ, 72, of TOMS RIVER died Friday. She was a supervisor with Shulton Inc., Clifton, for 30 years before retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River, where she was a past president of the Altar Rosary Society, chaplain to the Seniors Club and a professed member of the Lay Carmelite Community of the church. She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Passaic. She was a member of the Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation, Silver Bay Chapter. Born in Clifton, she spent weekends and summers in Toms River from 1958 until she moved there in 1991.

Surviving are her husband, Walter; a nephew, Ron Poltorak and his wife Carol; niece, Janis Zapotosky and her husband Robert P. of Clifton; grandniece Kristen Poltorak, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Hank and Lillian Abramowitz of Clifton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Silver Bay Chapter of Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation.
