Wife of William Lial Southworth; later-in-life daughter of Tunis Hart and Elizabeth "Betsey" Wood; and mother of Lloyd Esley Southworth, Stanley Osborne Southworth, and Broneldia Elizabeth Bell Southworth. Died of TB at age 34. Broneldia ("Nellie") was just four when her mother died in February 1897. Jemima's body stayed in the family's ice house until it could be buried in spring. Tiny Nellie used to go to the ice house to "talk" to her mother. Husband William did not remarry for nearly 9 years.
