Willa Fay Roberts, 76, of Winchester, died Thursday morning, June 25th, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born October 18th, 1938 in Huntsville, AL and was the daughter of the late Ivy & Gladys (Grayson) Talley.
Fay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to quilt, sew, and make clothes for her grandchildren. Fay loved cooking for her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Eastern Star #60 of Winchester, and the Main Street Christian Church of Winchester. Fay enjoyed her pet dog “Precious” and her pet cat “Cat”.
Fay is survived by her loving husband Bobby Joe Roberts of Winchester; son Richard Allen Stephens (Darlene) of Ft. Wayne; two daughters Terri Starkey (Todd) of Selma and Kelli Thurman (Jeff) of Fairmount; six grandchildren, Travis Stephens (Katie) of Anderson, Tyler Stephens of Ft. Wayne, Kacie Starkey of Muncie, Thomas Starkey of Selma, Shelby Starkey of Muncie, and Samantha Thurman of Fairmount; eight great-grandchildren, Broenn, Boston, Ryder, Isaiah, Landen, Gabriel, Briley, and Bentley; a brother Terry Talley (Dee) of Woodland, TX; sister-in-law Kay Harper (David) of Round Rock, TX; her best friend Shirley Fisher of Pinch. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Stacie Roberts and a sister Claire Juanita.
Funeral Services for Fay will be held Monday, June 29th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Chaplin Mike Osborn officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memories Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 28th, 2015 at the funeral home.
