ROCKPORT -- L.D. Ballard, 89, passed away June 15, 2015.
He was born May 31, 1926, in Newlin, Texas, to Schuyler and Laura McCollough Ballard.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marie Ballard.
Survivors include his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg and Lana Jordan of Belton and Larry Ballard of Paris, Texas; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Robin Johnson of Rockport, Texas, Shrese and Trevor Rudd of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kasha and Wade Cox of Divide, Colorado, and Linda and David Mooney of Gilmer, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Bill Duncan of Plainview, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport from noon-9 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service conducted by Pastor Scott Jones will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Rockport. Interment will be at Rockport Cemetery. Due to weather, graveside service will be announced at a later date.
