Loree Alice Taylor, age 76, of Winchester and formerly of Greenville, South Carolina passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Envoy Health Care of Winchester.
Graveside rites will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, South Carolina with Mr. Jim Yow officiating with entombment to follow.
Mrs. Taylor was born December 15, 1932 in Greenville, South Carolina the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Annie Robinson Rhew.
She was retired from property management and the wife of the late Roy Franklin Taylor. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and had been an avid and talented golfer. She was known by many as “George” a name given to her by her late husband.
Surviving are her sons, Gary Keith Massey of Brevard, North Carolina and Dale Allen Massey and Carol Bush of Strasburg, Virginia; four grandchildren, Taylor Massey, Catherine Massey, Stewart Massey and Phillip Massey; a great-grandchild, William Stewart Freeby.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29605 in memory of Loree and Roy Taylor. Stover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Strasburg is serving the Taylor family.
