15 Mar 1915: John Adam Meyer, trucker and farmer of Lickdale, died on Sunday at the home of Harry Folmer. He was aged 62 years and suffered for some time with dropsy, which caused his death. He was a member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church. Those who currently survive are as follows: two sons, Leidy of Mt. Aetna; and Herbert John of Ebenezer; three daughters, Meta, Mary and Maisie, all of Reading. Also the following brothers and sisters: Henry, Amos and Samuel of Ebenezer; Joseph R. of Iowa Falls, IA; Daniel of Hampton, IA; and Mrs. Cornelius Light of Lisbon, IA. The funeral will be held from the home of John Meyer, Ebenezer, on Thursday morning at 10:00 o'clock, followed by services in the Ebenezer U.B. Church, and interment in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Teams will meet the train at Heilmandale, coming from Lickdale, and also trolley cars at West Lebanon. [Lebanon Daily News]
