David retired as a Senior Corporal Police Officer from the Dallas Police Department where he served for 24 years. He began his career as a Patrolman then moved to the S.W.A.T. team and Special Operations Unit and was a member of the Mounted Unit.

David was given a "Certificate of Civic Achievement", by the Dallas Police Department. February 23, 1983.

David was also a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Hella Shrine Clown unit where he brought many smiles to children across the state of Texas.

David also served as President of the Spring Oaks Cowboys Football Association where he coached and impacted many children's lives in the Balch Springs and Mesquite TX area.

David was voted "Citizen of the Year" by the Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce, January 22, 1983.

David is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Pam Flowers; children, Damon Flowers & wife Staci and Keith Flowers and wife Megan; grandchildren: Dylan Flowers, KaLyn Flowers, Kolton Flowers, Kaden Flowers & Emma Flowers;
