N.H. Moritz, 81, Dies - Fought in Indian Wars
YAKIMA, Wash., Jan 23 - Nicholas H. Moritz, 81, who fought in the Indian wars, died today in St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Germany and lived in this district 43 years.
During his service with the United States cavalry, he was at one-time stationed at Walla Walla in 1889. He carried a tomahawk scar received during his battles in the Indian wars.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucy Moritz, six children, a brother, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
