Mr. Charles Brown Mathis died Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice IPU. Mr. Mathis was born in Commerce, Georgia to the late Joe Brown Mathis and Lorene Smith Mathis. He was a member of Redeemed Baptist Church, a United States Army Veteran, and a Mason. Mr. Mathis was a retired butcher. in addition to his parents, Mr. Mathis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Benton Mathis and sister, Hilda Anglin.
Funeral services will be Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M in the Chapel of Little Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Parks officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 to 8 P.M.
