WICHITA – Father Victor A. Bieberle, 89, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. He was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Bushton, Kan., the son of Tony C. and Mary Hammeke Bieberle. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Evelyn Klepper. He is survived by his brother, Clifford (Gerry) Bieberle of Great Bend; sisters, Lea Nell Moos of Wichita, and Ellie (Jerry) Ewald of Wichita; numerous nieces and nephews. He attended school at Holy Name School Bushton and Salvatorian Seminary in St. Nazianz, Wis. He took his philosophy and theology studies at St. Thomas Seminary, Denver, Colo. He was ordained to the Priesthood on May 21, 1951, at Holy Name Church, Bushton, Kan., by Bishop Mark K. Carroll. In June of 1951, Bishop Carroll appointed him as Chaplain to the Kansas National Guard, 137th Inf. Regt. His Pastorates included: Immaculate Conception Church, Burns, Kan., with the Mission of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Spring Branch, St. Mark Parish of Marion, Kan., from 1957 to 1961, with Mission at Spring Branch, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Anthony, Kan., from 1967 to 1969, St. Anne Parish of Wichita, Kan., from 1969 to 1975, Blessed Sacrament Parish of Wichita, Kan., from 1975 to 1987, Holy Cross Parish of Hutchinson from 1987 to 1995. While fulfilling his military duties with the 101st Airborne, he served in Vietnam, Dominican Republic, and Korea. Through his service he achieved the rank of Colonel and was awarded numerous military honors including the Bronze Star Medal.

Rosary 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, and Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, both at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Wichita. Memorials have been established with the Priest Retirement and Seminarian Education Fund, in care of Catholic Diocese of Wichita, 424 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202 and the Spiritual Life Center, 7100 E. 45th Street N, Bel Aire, KS 67226
