William Lawrence Blevins Sr. passed away in Yuma AZ, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the age of 72. "Bill" was born November 14, 1942 in San Antonio, TX to Wille Blevins and Nancy Lee Walker Blevins. He was in the U.S. Army for 2 years and was a rifle and pistol specialist. Bill worked for Saguaro Transportation as Operations manager for many years until his retirement in 2014. He was a die hard Cowboys fan and loved to watch football and baseball. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wille and Nancy Blevins; and his daughter, Jennifer Blevins.
Bill is survived by his son, William Blevins Jr. of La Mesa, CA; daughter, Cassandra Lynne of San Antonio, TX and Danae Aleman of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, David Blevins of San Antonio, TX, Tara Durgin of El Centro, CA, Jeremy Blevins of El Centro, CA, William Blevins the 3rd of La Mesa, CA, Victoria Aleman of San Antonio, TX, and Grace Aleman of San Antonio, TX; sister, Sandra Durham of Yuma, AZ; and brother, Gregg Blevins.
Desert Valley is in charge of funeral arrangements. There will be a private celebration of life with the family at a later date.
