Donald Wayne "Cook" Abbott, 69, passed from this life January 5, 2011, in Webster, Texas.

Donald was born August 21, 1941, in Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucille A. Abbott and Wayne O. Abbott, and brother John Dale Abbott. Cook enjoyed spending time with his family and taking trips to Louisiana at the Coushatta.

Survivors include sons Ricky L. Abbott and wife Melony of Texas City, Bryan W. Abbott of Texas City, beloved girlfriend Claudine Parks of Houston; grandchildren Kory Abbott, Brent Abbott, Andy Abbott, Emily Abbott, Donna Reb; great-grandchildren Deryn Abbott, Reid Abbott, and Eva Dennis; brother Fred A. Abbott,

sister Joanne Begerra; sister Betty Cheatwood and husband Steve; and special friend Toni Laughlin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th, 2011, at Texas City Missionary Baptist Church, 2402 32nd Ave N, in Texas City, TX, with pastor Mark Curl officiating. A private cremation was conducted under Crowder Funeral Home, Pearland, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 570127, Houston, TX, 77257-0127.
