Mary Ruth Keiper (Michael) (Keele)

Mary Ruth Keiper, 86, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2014.

Born February 26, 1928 in Brimfield, she resided in Akron with her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Paul. Mary was passionate about family gatherings, cooking, and sewing. She was an avid New York Yankees fan. Mary faithfully believed in love, patience, and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dale, Eleanor, Martha, and Lois; brother, Lucian; twin brother, Warren; and grandson, Jesse. Mary is survived by her brother, Gene (Joette) Michael and sister-in-law, Pansy Michael. With a loving heart she and Paul raised six children, Kenneth Keele, Larry (Mary) Keele, Charles (Nancy) Keele, Rodney Keiper, Susan Griffin, and Dianna (Dave) Black. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and best friend of 76 years, Jean Gribble.

The family expresses their gratitude and warmest thanks for the staff at Essex's Healthcare and Summa Hospice.

Service will be held at the Adams funeral home, Pastor Deborah Wissener officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park. A celebration of life dinner will be held at Maranatha Church (1424 Killian Road, Akron) following the burial.
