John D. Browning MD age 86 of Ormond Beach died Friday September 16 2005 at home.
John was born September 13 1919 in Daytona Beach FL to D.W. and Bessie Morrison Browning.

Dr. Browning was a graduate of Mainland High School Duke University and Tulane Medical School.
He was a member and President of Pi Kappa Alpha and Nu Sigma Nu fraternities.
He served in the U.S. Navy / Marine Corps as a medical officer during WW II in the Pacific Theater.
He practiced medicine in Daytona Beach for many years then worked in industrial and institutional medicine.
Dr. Browning returned to private practice in 1953 in Ft. Pierce FL where he practiced until his retirement in 1980.
During his years in Ft. Pierce he served as President of the Tri-County Medical Society and Chief of Staff at Lawnwood Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Browning served two terms as President of National ARC. He was a founder and board member for 25 years on the St. Lucie First Citizens S & L Assn.
Prior to his retirement he was on the Ft. Pierce City Commission for six years Lions Club Florida Cattemen's Assn and was also a Kentucky Colonel.
He was of the Christian faith and a very loving and kind man devoted to his family and loved ones and will be cherished and remembered in many happy and wonderful ways.
Dr. Browning was predeceased by his beloved son John W. Browning and his parents D.W. and Bessie Browning.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Virginia W. Browning a daughter Barbara and her husband Michael Morris of LaGrange GA a brother Dr. William E. Browning and his family of Ormond Beach FL a granddaughter Michele and her husband James Renahan of Gilbert AZ a grandson Chad Kirby of Ormond Beach FL and 2 great-grandsons Mathew and Nicholas Renahan.
