Daughter of Newton Jasper Earp and Nancy Jane "Jennie" Adams. Her father was a half-sibling to the famous Old West lawmen, Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan Earp. She was the eldest of several children born to her parents including siblings Wyatt Clyde, Mary Elizabeth (died young), and Virgil Edwin. Alice married three times, first to Warren Hurt in 1896, 2nd to John Wells in 1898, and later to Robert Carson. In the 1900 U.S. Census (San Francisco, CA), she is listed with her father Newton Earp (they were both widowed at that time) and her daughter Jennie (3), named after her mother. Her headstone is in the same section not far from her father's as East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento, California.
