Catherine M. Overturf, 99,
of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Ridgway, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born Feb. 28, 1915 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Lucie Ricardo Piccirillo.
She married Walter Overturf, who preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1992.
She resided most of her life in Ridgway.
Mrs. Overturf was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Ridgway S.O.I.
She was a graduate of St. Leo's High School.
She is survived by three foster children, Karen Fitch of Erie, T.O. Fitch of Ridgway and Mary Beth Malewicz of Erie;
six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband;
two sisters, Lena Christoff and Genevieve Densaro; and six brothers, Benjamin, John, James, Joseph, Michael and William Piccirillo.
Funeral services for Catherine M. Overturf will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home, 130 Center St., Ridgway.
Officiating will be Fr. Brian Vossler, pastor of St. Leo's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
