Allen Rites Held At Ottumwa Today

Funeral services for William Allen (sic) were held this afternoon at the Johnson funeral home in Ottumwa. He died April 8 in Ottumwa where he made his home.

Mr. Allen was born in Fairfield in 1877, the son of George and Mary McWhirter Allen. He lived on a farm near Fairfield for many years. His wife preceded him in death. He leaves several nieces and a nephew.

The body will be brought to Fairfield Saturday morning for burial in Evergreen cemetery.
