Marcella Faye Waymire Bush was born on April 30, 1941, in Independence, Oklahoma, to Calvin Jackson and Mary Ann Waymire. She passed away on March 2, 2021, in Mesquite, Texas. Marcella grew up in Howe, Oklahoma for the majority of her formative years, but the family relocated to Dallas in 1957. She attended W.W. Samuels High School and Faith Baptist Church. Shortly after coming to Dallas, she met the love of her life, and although he proposed to her rather quickly, she made him wait a full year before giving him an answer. She married Frederick Roland Bush on August 1, 1959. Marcella and Fred had two children born ten years apart, Gail Suzanne and Raymond Eugene. She is preceded in death by her loving husband; both parents; four brothers, Vester, Eugene, Ewing, and Bobby; and two sisters, Ruby and Edna. Marcella enjoyed sewing, especially quilt-making, baking pies, traveling, and spending countless hours with family.
