Mrs. Edward Crowell died at her home on Court street last Saturday afternoon at about four o'clock, from pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. She had been ill for nearly two weeks and in poor health for a long time previous to this attack, her case was considered doubtful from the first.
A short funeral service attended by only relatives and near friends was held in the dooryard of the home this afternoon, Rev. W. T. Best officiating. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Rose Cleveland Crowell, was one of several children of Joseph Orlando and Irene Clark Cleveland. She was born in Hyde Park August 17, 1870. She married Edward Crowell about 30 years ago. For many years the family resided in Elmore and moved to Morrisville from Laporte road about four years ago. To their union were born four children, whom with the husband survive. They are Mrs. Harry Demerritt, Logan Crowell, Mrs. Ernest Cross and Lawrence Crowell. She also leaves four sisters and one brother, as follows: Mrs. Henry Stowell of Morrisville, Mrs. Lizzie Thompson, Mrs. Frank Prescott and Ada Cleveland of Manchester, N. H., and Andrew Cleveland of Hyde Park. Her father died in March 1904 and her mother in April of this year.
The family have the sympathy of the community in the loss of a loving wife and mother.
