The night of December 3rd was very foggy. As Mike stepped from behind his own car, he was struck by the bumper of a northbound auto on Pacific Hwy, 10 miles north of Castle Rock. The driver stopped and helped carry Mike into his home and aided in getting a physician. A few minutes later, while the roadway was still blocked from the first accident, another collision occurred in the same location. Mike died 4 hours later from his injuries and shock.
