Willie "Billy" Ray Doyle, 72, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014.
Billy Doyle was born Willie Ray Doyle in Wolfe City, May 17, 1942, to Woodrow Hervey Doyle and Anna Mary Craig Doyle.
He married his lifelong love on Sept. 2, 1961. Together they began building their life and family. In 1962 and 1963, he saw the birth of two daughters. In the years that followed, he would see the small family of four grow into one far larger, which he often stated with pride, was his most valued and treasured contribution of his lifetime. As our Patriarch, he taught by example what it means to be a hardworking, devoted family man. His life was lived with honesty, integrity, and unconditional love, which has left its mark on the hearts of those of us he leaves behind. We are his legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Doyle of Ladonia and Anna Mary Shepard of Fort Worth; and brother, Dean Doyle of Ladonia.
Survivors: Wife, Martelle Daniel Doyle; daughters, Kellye Doyle Echels and Stephanie Biggs and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Mandi Echels Keller and husband, Jeremiah, Joey Echels, Bobby Biggs and wife, Tiffany, Matt Biggs and wife, Miranda, Loribeth Echels, Michael Biggs and Shannon Biggs; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Bettie Batis, Mary Ann Parks and Sharon Fisher; and brothers, Richard Doyle and John Shepard.
