Carma Marie Brofer was born October 10, 1931 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Krivolvy) Brofer. Carma attended school in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge High School. She married Francis Wilson on August 13, 1950 in Jackson, MN.

Moving to Perry from Fort Dodge in 1954, Carma stayed busy throughout her younger life, raising her four sons and being active in PTA. She was a member of the First Christian Church and CWF, Webster Garden Club, Piece Makers Quilt Club, Perry Womens Club and the Perry Historical Society. Carma enjoyed reading and she loved going to the Perry Recreation Center to swim.

Survivors include her husband, Francis Wilson of Perry, IA; four sons Jeff (Jennifer) Wilson of Perry, IA; Jay (Susie) Wilson of Perry, IA; Jon (Margaret) Wilson of Perry, IA and Joel Wilson of Des Moines, IA.; six grandchildren, Andrea Ernst, Emily Spellman, Alison Ray, Libby Wilson, Bridget Toay, Bob Wilson and twelve great grandchildren; one brother Dewayne Brofer of Arizona and one sister, Alice (Dan) Cibert of Missouri also survive.
