HAROLD J. ABBENANTE, 79, died January 10, 1996, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Grace B. (Yeaw) Abbenante.


Harold was a self-employed painter for many years, retiring in 1976. He lived in Johnston for 20 years before moving to North Providence 16 years ago.


He leaves his wife, Helen B. (Cady) Abbenante; his son, Harold D. Abbenante, of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren; a brother, Louis Abbenante, of Providence; three sisters, Elsie Rezendes, of West Warwick, Florence Waldron, of Norfolk, MA, Gloria Grady, of Lillian, Ala. He was the father of the late Robert A. Abbenante and brother of the late Charles Abbenante.
