Vance was born October 19, 1953 in Abilene, Texas to Frank Kenneth Pittman and Georgia Ann (King) Pittman Knight. He graduated from high school in San Antonio and received two Engineering Degrees from the State University of New York. Vance was a very kind and loving person and never met a stranger. He loved math, science and building things. Vance was a treasured son, grandson and was the twinkle in his mother’s eye.
Vance is survived by his mother Georgia Ann Knight of Ft. Worth, one brother, Stacey Boyd Pittman of Pasadena; two sisters, Elizabeth Pittman of Miles and Tracy Sullivan of Albany; one uncle, Bailey C. King of Pittsburgh and three cousins, Ginger King Vogel of Conroe, David Glen King of Seattle, Washington and Heather King Fagan of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, George Louis and Mildred Moselle (Cauble) King.
