Anne Barrett Lahiff was born in 1868 in County Rosecommon, Ireland. Her parents were Martin Barrett and Anne McCann. She married Thomas Lahiff in 1893 and together they had 8 children. Three of these children became actresses on Broadway and one (Ann Veronica aka Nancy Carroll) became an early film star. She died in 1951 and is buried with her husband and children in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, New York.
