Loombs Truck Driver
Retired U. S. Postal Worker
World War II, Veteran U.S. Navy, enlisted 7 Dec 1942, USS Alabama, BB-60.
Marvin was nicknamed Red and was a friendly, outgoing Texan who enjoyed dancing. He was a retired postman and like many men from Texas couldn't go anywhere without his hat and wearing his boots. Red was reserved and a very likable fellow who hardly ever got upset or temperamental. He helped people if he could and would grin & chuckle showing his cheery disposition. Red suffered from dymentia in his later years and outlived all his wives, living to be 92 years of age. Sadly, Red outlived his three children. Red will be missed by his many friends and grandchildren.
