She was born on May 9, 1918 near McLeansboro in southern Illinois, where she grew up. She was one of six children of James Pressley Rawls and Myrtle Daily, all of whom pre-deceased her.
She married Louis Clark Honig of Webster Groves, Mo,. In 1941 and they had two daughters, Elizabeth Ann and Lucinda. Liz and Clark lived in Illinois, Missouri and Ohio before moving to Nashville in 1961, where they lived for many years on Dale Avenue. They were members of Second Presbyterian Church.
Elizabeth worked for ten years for the State of Tennessee in the Vital Records Department. She was an active member of Presbyterian Women at Second Presbyterian, and she was awarded lifetime membership in PW. She loved to play bridge and garden.
Her husband predeceased her in 1993.
She is survived by daughters Ann Honig of Nashville, and Cindy Honig (Robert) Weiss of Akron, OH, and by grandchildren Tracy Elizabeth Weiss of Cummington, MA, and Noah Alan Weiss of Los Angeles, CA.
