Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home with a family visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.
Anne Triska was born June 18, 1921, in Canada, the daughter of Harry and Alice Triska. Anne's Ukrainian parents emigrated to North Dakota in the early 1920s, settling in the Wilton area. Anne began her education by learning to speak English her first year of grade school in Grass Lake Township, graduating from Wilton High School in 1941.
She married Alfred Diede on Oct. 25, 1941, in Bismarck. They continued to live on and operate the family farm for 48 years, retiring to Bismarck in 1989.
Anne was truly dedicated to her lifelong ambition of being a farmer's wife. She enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, sewing and baking her specialty homemade pies. Anne especially loved traveling to see family.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alfred; two daughters, DeAnn (Jerry) Ketchum, St. Marie, Mont., and Carla (Rhys) Oelke, Belle Fourche, S.D.; one son, Quinn (Nancy), Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Sylvia (Jake) Jacobs and Mary Burns, both of Bismarck; and one brother, Mike (Hertha) Triska, Wilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Pearle Wall and Lydia Loehrke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baldwin Cemetery Association, in care of 522 N 24th Street, Bismarck, ND 58501.
