Funeral services for Homer Benge, 47, who died in a veteran's hospital in Hines, Illinois, last Saturday morning were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Cottonwood cemetery.
The services were conducted by the Rev. J.W. Williford, with Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Benge was born and reared in the Stockard community.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. J.J Walling of Bowie, Mrs. Charles Inman of Dallas, Mrs. E.F. Carpenter of Tahoka and Mrs. Joe Hughes of Eustace; and two brothers, Sid Benge of Eustace and Joe Benge of Athens, route 5.
