Anna M. Rizzolo (nee Spomer), 94, of Newark, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, N.J.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Growney Funeral Home, growneyfuneral.com, 1070 N. Broad St., Hillside, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, (time to be announced), tentative for 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 40 Ludlow St., Newark, N.J. 07114. Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
Mrs. Rizzolo was a lifelong resident of Newark, N.J.
She was an inspector at the Emeloid Company in Hillside, N.J., for 20 years, retiring 30 years ago.
She was an active member in the church and the Rosary Society of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Newark. Anna will be most remembered for her devotion to her family and her kind and giving nature.
She was the beloved wife of the late Silvio Rizzolo; devoted mother of Donna and her husband, James Trenelli; loving grandmother of Tara Chalakani; great-grandmother of Isabella and Victor Di Pianta, and dear aunt of Philip Spomer.
