Carla Marie Tamburello, 50, Kansas City, MO, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2004, at White Oak Manor. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12 at Passantino Bros. Chapel, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO, 64124. Entombment in Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North. Friends may call 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Carla was born January 21, 1954, in Omaha, NE. She worked at the Sheltered Workshop in Liberty, MO, for 25 years. She loved bowling, dancing, and music of all kinds. She loved flying, especially sitting in the window seat. Carla has given her family and everyone she has ever met 50 years of joy. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul Tamburello. Survivors include her parents Carl and Mary Tamburello; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Anthony Palermo; brother and sister-in-law John and Valerie Tamburello; several nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and nurses aides of White Oak Manor for the care they gave our angel, and especially James Stewart, MD, her doctor and best friend. LITTLE ANGELS When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, we mortals sometimes question the wisdom of his Love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold, so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try, the saddest work mankind knows will always be "Goodbye". So when a little child departs, we who are left behind must realize God loves children, angels are hard to find. --Author Unknown (Arr. Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 816-471-2844)
