Curtis Maurice Brown Sr., 58, of Lorena died Friday at his residence. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Connally-Compton Downtown Chapel, the Rev. Doyle Darwin officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.

Mr. Brown was born May 29, 1928, in Mart and had lived in the Waco area all his life. He was retired from General Tire after 34 years. He was a member of the Retirement Club of United Rubber Workers Local 312. He was a deacon of Third Street Baptist Church, and he was a hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Smith of Waco; two sons, Curtis Maurice Brown Jr. of Desoto and Ronnie D. Brown of Golinda; a sister, Mrs. C.M. (A.Z.) Woodliff of Waco; three brothers, Thurman Howard Brown of Waco and David Henry Brown Jr. and Alvie Carson Brown, both of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
