John Franklin BRISCOE was only son of Thomas Britton/Priscilla Jones BRISCOE to live to adulthood. He married Mary Ann OVERSTREET on July 5, 1874 in Texas. The family made a move shortly after 1900 into Cotton/Tillman County, Oklahoma area. John Franklin and Mary Ann had a large family (12 boys and 2 girls) and were a farming family. John Franklin died at the home of his son, D.J. (David Jefferson) BRISCOE. He is buried next to his wife, Mary Ann Overstreet BRISCOE.
