Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death No. 63-037971 for Indianapolis, Marion County records Bert E. Barnett, an 82 years, 2 months, and 6-days-old married white male, retired farmer, died about 9:30p.m. at Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis, due to "THIRD DEGREE BURNS OVER 75% OF BODY AREA." "Burning leaves in yard, clothes caught fire." He was the son of George Barnett, and Mollie Barnett. His wife Lucy was the informant. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Johnson County on 23 October 1963, Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home of Franklin in charge.
