DR. JOHN F. WARD, 50, of Clear Lake City, passed away Monday. He received his B.S. and Masters Degree from Sam Houston State University, received his Doctor of Philosophy at Texas A. & M. He served as Science and Math Teacher, Counselor, Vice Principal, Assistant Superintendent before becoming Superintendent of Schools in 1967. He was Superintendent of Friendswood I.S.D. before becoming Superintendent of C.C.I.S.D. in 1977. He was a Board of Director at Texas Commerce Bank in Friendswood and Board of Director of Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce and life member of P.T.A. Services 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jack Rowe Cathedral Chapel with Rev. Gary D. Taliaferro officiating. Interment Friends Cemetery, Friendswood. Memorials may be sent to The American Cancer Society.
