Survivors include her husband, A R Shipp Jr.; her daughters, Shannon Templeton (Eddie) and Sherry Letson; her son, A R Shipp III (Judy); her sister, Delores Spurrier; her grandchildren, Allec, Leigh, and Julie Shipp, Shawn (Julie) and Ryan Templeton, and Rush (Tori) and Jack (Kate) Letson; and four great-grandchildren.
Joyce Shipp was born in Seymour, Texas and lived in Anson, Texas until she married Jack Shipp on September 13, 1950. They moved to Alabama in 1952. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa.
