Mrs. Georgie Alvesta Woodall, age 86, passed away on June 22, 2014. Mrs. Woodall was born in Statesville, TN on October 10, 1927 to the late George and Sudie Patton.

She was raised in White County, and was a graduate of White County High School, as well as Draughon's Junior College. Georgie was a collections officer with the United Methodist Board of Higher Education for 43 years. She was also a member of the American Business Women's Association, during which time she was selected as Business Woman of the Year. Georgie was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Goodlettsville First Baptist Church.

Georgie was married to George Woodall for over thirty years, until his passing in 1985.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Jim) Galbreath; grandsons, James Phillip (Laura) Galbreath and William Adam Galbreath; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Grace Galbreath; and sisters, Geneva Pearl Spitzer and Willie Jo Dickie.

Members of the Order of the Eastern Star will perform a service at 7pm during Thursday's visitation.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 11am, from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Sunnymeade Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
