CHATHAM — Julian Rapallo Sloan, 86, of Jupiter, Fla., and Chatham, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. Born on April 1, 1927, in New York City.∼Julian Rapallo Sloan was born on April 1, 1927 in New York City, New York to Julian (1893-1930) and Blanche Strebeigh Sloan (1902-1995). He graduated from St. Georges School in Newport and Brown University in Providence, Julian's career was in the advertising and marketing field retiring in 1992.
After Julian had retired he found "Find A Grave" and became a member, creating memorials for his family.
Julian was survived by his wife of 57 years Cecile Cuthbertson Kelly known as "Cele"; daughters Helen Edesse Sloan of Westport, CT and Margot Strebeigh Sloan of Eastham, MA; son Julian Rapallo Sloan III of Davie, FL. Julian was predeceased by his half brother, Andrew Carnegie III and by his stepsister Gertrude Mercer Altemus known as "Gipsey."
