Fred Bennett Died Sunday Afternoon
Fred Bennett, aged 40 years, well known citizen of the Long Creek community, a few miles northeast of Mesquite, died at his home there Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, following an illness of about a week, his death resulting from high blood pressure.
The deceased was born in the community where he died and lived there all his life.
He is survived by his wife and nine children. Also by his mother, Mrs. D. W. Florence and a sister, Mrs. Phillip Lively of Irving.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Long Creek Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. M. Wynn, pastor of Forest Avenue Baptist church of Dallas. Interment took place in Long Creek cemetery.
The deceased had many friends who were grieved at the news of his death.
