Oscar Wayne Cypert, 91, died May 2, 2008 in the Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell, Texas.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Munday, Texas with Pastor Gary Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley - Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas.
Mr. Cypert was born January 9, 1917 in Knox City, Texas. He'd been a mechanic in Munday since 1941. He loved the Munday Moguls. He was an avid golfer and loved his grandchildren.
Oscar married Hazel Pittman March 12, 1941 in Munday, Texas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Munday.
Survivors include: his wife, Hazel Cypert of Munday Texas; one son, Melvin Cypert of Haskell, Texas; one daughter, Cathy Albus; two brothers, Ralph Cypert and Billy Paul Cypert, both of Munday, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Brown of Munday, Texas, Rowena Hester of Haskell, Texas and Alice Yates of Weinert, Texas; one granddaughter, Angela Albus; three grandsons, Mike and Derek Cypert and Alan Albus; three great grandsons; one great great grandson and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: T. B. Cypert and Bobbie Cypert.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home Sunday from 6:30 - 7:30.
