Thelma Jenkins, 95, of Cedar Park, formerly of Austin, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006. She was born in Bartlett on May 12, 1910, to Thomas Salie Stone and Ethel (White) Stone.

Thelma was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, where she was active in her Sunday school class and other church activities. In 1931 she married Marion Jenkins in Jonah. After retiring, Ms. Jenkins volunteered at St. David’s and Seton Hospitals for about 15 years.

Her husband, Marion Jenkins, and two daughters, Patsy Ballard and Julia Price, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Manning and husband Dale of Austin, Shirley Montgomery of Austin, Ruth Cox of Middletown, Ohio, and June Robinson and husband Lamar of Cedar Park; son, Jimmy Jenkins and wife Karen of Temple; sister, Jennie Butler and husband Marvin; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7, 2005 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown with Reverend John Bailey and Reverend Gene Smith officiating. Interment followed at the Weir Cemetery in Weir, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers were Daryl Robinson, Cary Robinson, Derek Jenkins, Ricky Price, Doug Johnson and Mike Isaacks.
