Yvonne L. Haggard, age 85, formerly of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 18, 2014, in Kerrville, Texas. Yvonne was born October 6, 1928, in Elgin, Oklahoma to Herman S. and Roxie Jewell (Wilson) Head. She was a nurse for a number of years. Yvonne was also employed with Collin County Community College where she touched many lives.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lawson Bergmann and husband, Patrick of Mountain Home, Texas; son, Jack Haggard of Paris, Texas; grandchildren, Chante Dennis and Jon Scott Bergmann; five great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Rollins of Anna, Texas; and sister-in-law, Helen Head of Allen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman S. and Roxie Jewell Head, brothers, Grady Head, James Head, and Joe Head, and sister, Shirley Head Evans.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
