Danny was killed driving a logging truck out of the mountains. His truck grazed the side of the mountain, cutting the airline to his brakes. In those days that meant he lost his brakes. He road the truck down a long ways but drove the truck over the side rather than rear end a family in front of him. He was killed by the load he was hauling when the logs came through the cab.
