Thomas H. Russell, 79, of Fremont, died Wednesday morning, March 19, 2014 at Toledo Hospital.

He was born in Fremont on May 20, 1934 the son of Paul E. and Lorretto (Hughes) Russell. Thomas was a 1952 graduate of St. Joseph High and attended Bowling Green State University. He was owner and former President of Peerless Construction, a family owned and operated business. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks and the Moose.

Surviving is his wife, Sandra (Carte) Russell of Fremont, whom he married in 1991; daughter, Tamara (Joseph) Gray of Indianapolis, IN, step-daughter, Michelle (Le Roy) Wagner of Fremont, OH; grandson, Derek Gray of Indianapolis, IN; step-granchildren: Jackie Messina of Akron, OH, Michael Wagner of Columbus, OH; sisters: Jane R. (Jack) Paquette of Toledo, OH, Peggy (Robert) Beck of Fremont, OH; in-laws: Charlotte "Skip" (James) DeMars of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dennis (Eloise) Carte of Port Clinton, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Nancy (Fran) Fabish, step-son, Michael Mosser, in-laws: Robert and Dale Carte.

Visitation will take place on Friday from 3-7P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 1:00P.M. on Saturday from St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or the American Diabetes Association
