Robert C. Melius, 86, of Monahans, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Seabury Center in Odessa. Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans with Billy Reed officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Monahans Memorial Cemetery in Monahans. Arrangements are by Harkey Funeral Home of Monahans.He was born in Ashdown, Ark. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked in the oilfield. SURVIVORS Sons, Terry Melius of Monahans, Chuck Melius of Sheffield and Richard Melius of Fort Stockton; daughter, Lorna Hawkins of Monahans; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
