Victor G Anderson. 96, Newcastle, died Oct 23 at Winshop Green. Bath Born Sept 27. 1902 in Vilaius. Lithuania, he was the son of Mr and Mrs Matthew Anderson. He married the former Anna Jacobs Sept 1902, living for most of his adult life in Camden, NJ Dunng WWII. Mr Anderson worked as a shipbuilder in Camden and for 30 years he owned and operated "Vic s Bar' also in Camden. The couple came first to Winslow Maine is 1976 coming to their home on the Mills Road in Newcastle in 1986 A parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, in Camden and later St Patrick’s Church Newcastle, he was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Mr and Mrs Anderson celebrated their 72nd anniversary this past February and were extremely devoted to their many grandchildren. He leaves his wife as well as a son Dr William A Anderson of Hallowell two daughters-in-law Patricia A Anderson of Newcastle Dolores Anderson of Circle Pines Minn 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A Mass was said Oct 26 at St Patrick''s Church, Newcastle. Rev Rav Picard officiating. He will be laid to rest in St Patrick’s Cemetery Arrangements are under the direction of the Strong Funeral Home Damariscotta.
